Open enrollment takes place between November 1 and January 31. If you have a qualifying event (marriage, birth of a child, loss of coverage, or an income status change) you could still qualify for coverage.
Health insurance is required by law | The Affordable Care Act can be very confusing. Make sure you know all your options before making a decision for you and your family. We can help you find the coverage that fits your needs and situation.
HMO (Health Maintenance Organization) | An HMO requires that you use in-network providers to receive benefits.
PPO (Preferred Provider Organization) | In a PPO, you do not need to select a primary care physician. You may choose to see a provider in or out of network, but your in-network benefit will be better.
POS (Point Of Service) | POS plans require that you have an in-network provider designated as your primary care physician. You can use out-of-network providers, but you may need a referral and your out of pocket costs may be higher.
HSA (Health Savings Account) Qualified High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) | Premiums for HSA HDHP plans are lower, but you pay all of your health care costs until you reach your deductible.

Medicare Advantage plans are administered by private insurance companies.

Disability insurance is protection for your income. Individual Short Term Disability provides you with a benefit to help pay for every day expenses if you are unable to work due to a covered disability such as an injured back, recovery from surgery, or even maternity. Oftentimes, this benefit is provided by your employer. If not, you may want to consider an individual policy.
